She started her career as a Crime and Court Reporter with The Mirror newspaper in 1998. After penning several thought-provoking stories for the paper as a student journalist, she was employed immediately following her completion of National Service in 2000. She moved from The Mirror as one of the pioneer reporters at the Junior Graphic in 2001 and proved her versatility in producing interesting and accessible content for young readers. Hadiza returned to The Mirror in 2014, where she continued to excel with award-winning news stories. She is currently the Deputy Editor of The Mirror brand. Among her past awards have been Best Reporter, (print category) for Education, Health, Crime, and Rural Reporting. She has been awarded the best worker for her department six consecutive times.
She holds an MA in Media Management at Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), with research agenda that focused on implications of the new media ecology for traditional media marketing.Hadiza also holds a BSc in Human Resource Management from Central University College and previously obtained a Diploma in Journalism from GIJ.Hadiza is married to Maurice Quansah, Editor of Graphic Sports with whom she has two lovely boys.
